Removing Coffee Stains from Concrete
Concrete is a durable and resilient material, but it is not immune to staining. Coffee spills can quickly leave dark and stubborn stains on concrete, but fortunately those stains can often be removed with a few simple steps.
Stain Removal Process
Things You’ll Need:
- Powdered laundry detergent
- Paper towels
- White vinegar
- Container
- Water
- Scrapers
Step 1:
Soak up as much of the coffee as possible: The first step is to use paper towels to soak up as much of the coffee as you can. Apply pressure to the towel and continue until no more liquid has been absorbed.
Step 2:
Create a detergent mixture: In a container, mix a tablespoon of powdered laundry detergent with two cups of warm water to create a paste-like mixture.
Step 3:
Use the detergent mixture to scrub away the stain: Apply the detergent mixture to the area of the stain, using a scraper to work it into the surface. Scrub the area in a circular motion until the stain has been lifted. Rinse off the detergent mixture with water.
Step 4:
Use white vinegar to remove any remaining residue: Once the stain has been removed, use white vinegar to remove any remaining residue. Apply the vinegar to a paper towel and pat the area dry.
Step 5:
Allow the area to dry completely: Finally, leave the area to dry completely before re-applying any sealer to the surface.
Following these steps should help you to successfully remove coffee stains from concrete.
