Things You’ll Need
- Camp coffee percolator
- Coffee grounds
- Pot holder
Place the camp coffee percolator over your campfire. Make sure that it is not too close to the flames to prevent overheating.
Place the filter inside the upper chamber of your percolator. Fill the upper chamber with your desired quantity of coffee ground.
Fill the lower chamber of the percolator with cold water. Insert the stem and basket into the lower chamber. Place the lid on top.
Place the lid of the percolator on the lower chamber and make sure it fits snugly.
Grab a pot holder, and slowly rotate the percolator over the fire to ensure it doesn’t burn. Let the percolator do its job and you’ll have fresh coffee in no time!
After 6-10 minutes, the coffee should be finished brewing. Grab the lid off of the top of the percolator, and gently pour your fresh brewed coffee in the cup. Be sure not to overturn the percolator.
- It’s best to avoid placing your camp coffee percolator over a flame for too long. This may cause the coffee to become bitter.
