How to Make Coffee Logs Without Wax
Coffee logs make a great addition to any fireplace. Not only are they environmentally friendly, they are also a great way to capture the aroma of freshly brewed coffee while adding warmth to a room. Unfortunately, many commercially available coffee logs contain wax, which can be irritating for some people and can also be messy. To create uniquely delicious and fragrant coffee logs without wax, follow these steps:
Gather Materials
To make coffee logs without wax, you will need the following items:
- 8 cups of ground coffee
- 1 cup of molasses
- 1 cup of sugar
- 2 cups of uncooked rolled oats
- 2 cups of water
Prepare the Ingredients
Before you get started, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Then, mix together the ground coffee, molasses, sugar, and oats in a large bowl until everything is evenly blended.
Form the Logs
Once your ingredients are prepared and blended, it’s time to form the logs. Start by wetting your hands with the 2 cups of water and then taking a handful of the coffee mixture and rolling it into a log shape. Place the logs on a greased baking sheet, leaving a little space in between each one.
Bake the Logs
Bake the logs in your preheated oven for about 15 minutes. Then, remove them from the oven and let them cool for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Enjoy!
Your coffee logs are ready to be enjoyed! These logs will give off a delicious aroma as they burn, making them a perfect addition to any fireplace. Enjoy!
