Ideally, Use 2-4 Heaping Tablespoons of Bones Coffee for a Single Cup
At Bones Coffee, we recommend 2-4 heaping tablespoons of ground coffee for a single cup of joe. Please note that a heaping tablespoon is a tablespoon with a little extra on top, just to be sure. This amount won’t change whether you are using an automatic drip coffeemaker, French Press, or some other kind of coffee maker. We recommend experimenting with the amount of coffee grounds to find the best cup for your palate.
- Automatic Drip Coffee Makers: Automatic drip coffee makers use gravity to push hot water through the ground coffee and filter, which is how most people make their cup of morning joe. Fill the filter with your 2-4 tablespoons of Bones Coffee, add hot water, and turn it on. The amount of time it takes to brew will depend on the machine.
- French Press: If you like a bold cup of coffee, a French Press is the way to go. Fill the press with your 2-4 tablespoons of Bones Coffee, then pour hot water over it. Let the grounds steep for 4 minutes before pressing the plunger down, and enjoy!
- Moka Pot: Moka pots are popular in Europe, and are often seen in Italian restaurants. Place your 2-4 tablespoons of Bones Coffee in your Moka pot’s filter, add galetea and water, and place it on the stove. After it’s been on the stove for several minutes, the artificial pressure will force the steaming coffee through the pot, ready to drink!
